CITY OF BELFAST - WASTEWATER TREATMENT PROJECT
SUMMARY OF COUNCIL ORDER AND NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing
will be held at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, City Building, Belfast,
Maine, on July 7, 2009, for the purpose of taking testimony and comment from the
public with respect to the proposed issuance of a general obligation bond to be
issued by the City of Belfast in a principal amount not to exceed $3,000,000 to
the Maine Municipal Bond Bank (the “Bond”), the proceeds to be used for the
purpose of financing improvements to the wastewater treatment and collection
system in the City, including but not limited to influent pump replacement and
disinfection (the “Project”). The City Council will consider adoption of an
Order immediately following the close of the public hearing, which order
authorizes the issuance of the Bond in the principal amount not to exceed
$3,000,000. Copies of the order are available during normal business hours at
the office of the City Clerk and are posted at Belfast City Hall and Belfast
Free Library, as well as on the City of Belfast web site
www.cityofbelfast.org. All interested members of the public are invited to
attend and written comments may be submitted to the City Clerk.
