NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS
 

The Belfast City Council, at its meeting of Tuesday, August 18, 2009, beginning at 7:00 p.m. or as soon as practical thereafter, in the Council Chambers of Belfast City Hall, which is located at 131 Church Street, shall conduct a public hearing and Second Reading regarding the following proposed amendments to the City Code of Ordinances.   

1)  Chapter 98, Technical Standards, Article VIII. Parking and Loading Facilities.  Amendment that affects the amount of parking spaces required for sit-down restaurants.    

2)  Chapter 102, Zoning, Article V, District Regulations, Division 27, Route 137 Commercial District.  Amendment would allow manufactured housing in the section of the district located southeasterly of Merriam Drive. 

The public is encouraged to attend the August 18th hearings and to express comment.  Written and email comment will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on August 18th.  Written comment should be sent to Roberta Fogg, City Clerk, City of Belfast, 131 Church St, Belfast, Me, 04915, and email comment can be sent to cityclerk@cityofbelfast.org.
